Island of Pašman  ·  Ždrelac  ·  Adriatic Sea  ·  Open 1 May – 1 October

Leave the
world behind
the shore.

GPort is a family house on the island of Pašman — built by people who lived the fast life long enough to know what the slow one is worth. We opened it so you don't have to wait as long as we did.

A family with island roots.
A dream seven years in the making.

We are a family. We have heritage on this island — in its stone, its olive groves, its sea. For years we lived a different kind of life: meetings, screens, airports, the relentless pull of modern management. And all along, this island waited for us to come back.

GPort is what happened when we finally listened. Not a resort. Not a business proposition. A house that became a place — for people who need what we needed: stillness, simplicity, and the particular beauty of a life lived close to the ground.

It took us seven years to build. We want it to take you far less time to arrive.

This is what a day
without obligations feels like.

No agenda. No alarm. Just the island, the people you came with, and the particular freedom of a day that belongs entirely to you.

Morning
The sun wakes you before your alarm.
You step onto the terrace. The sea is already there — blue, patient, indifferent to whatever you left behind. Downstairs, whatever you asked us to have waiting is waiting — fig jam, bread, local cheese. You eat slowly, next to the pool, watching the olive trees catch the light.
Late morning
A bicycle to the village.
You talk to someone. A local. You discover that the best fish on the Adriatic is in Kali — the old fishing village one island over — and that if you arrive early enough at the market, you can buy directly from the fisherman who caught it this morning.
Afternoon
Flour on the table. Hands in the dough.
A neighbour comes to teach your family how to make an island cake. Children learning something that has nothing to do with a screen. Then a swim in the 16-metre pool. Then another. Then a book and the kind of silence that takes a day or two to actually hear.
Evening
Dinner comes out to the terrace.
The wine is poured. The gramophone plays something slow. You are not trying to remember this moment. You are just in it.

Ždrelac,
and the village next door.

GPort stands in Ždrelac, at the northwestern tip of Pašman, where the island comes closest to Ugljan across a strait narrow enough to swim. Two islands that work as one, each offering what the other doesn't.

Twenty minutes away is Kali — a working fishing village on Ugljan, and the reason we can offer more than a house. The families there are our friends. That is not a marketing line: it is how anything gets arranged on an island.

Ždrelac, where GPort sits, is peace. A small place at the edge of things, where the water is clear and the noise of the world doesn't quite reach. But cross to Ugljan or ride south along Pašman and the island opens up: fishing villages, hidden bays, hiking paths through pine and lavender, and Kali — one of the most authentic fishing communities left on the Adriatic coast.

  • A morning out with a working fishing boat, and the catch brought back to the house
  • The fish market at first light, with someone who knows every seller by name
  • A boat to the quiet bays on the far side of Ugljan, or across to the Kornati
  • Dinner in a village konoba that does not advertise and does not need to
  • Olive oil and wine straight from the people who made it

Ask us before you arrive. Most of it needs a day's notice and a phone call, not a booking system.

Olive oil. Fish. Figs. Wine.
The island on your table.

The food at GPort is not a menu. It is a landscape. Everything you eat grew or swam within a few kilometres of where you are sitting. Simplicity is not poverty — it is knowing that when the ingredient is right, it needs almost nothing done to it.

Food is not included in your stay, and the kitchen is entirely yours. But almost everything here can be arranged before you arrive — fish landed that morning in Kali, vegetables and herbs from gardens on the island, olive oil, cheese, eggs, bread, wine. Tell us what you would like waiting for you and we will organise it. You pay the growers and the fishermen directly, at what they charge.

The gramophone in the house, lit by evening light

"We put a gramophone in the house on purpose."

Not as decoration. Not as a talking point. Because a gramophone asks something of you — it asks you to choose a record, to set the needle, to sit down and actually listen. No algorithm. No shuffle. No constant switch.

That is what GPort is about. Stopping. Concentrating. Giving your full attention to the thing in front of you — whether that is music, a meal, the sea, or the people you came with.

Rest is not the absence of doing.
It is the presence of being.

Rest with intention.

GPort accommodates six people — the right number for two couples or a family who want to live like islanders for a week. Three bedrooms on the upper floor, each with its own loggia behind full-height sliding doors, and two bathrooms shared between them. Parquet underfoot, stone in the bathrooms, and about 130 m² in total.

The whole house,
one family at a time.

GPort is never shared. One booking, one house, up to six guests, from 1 May to 1 October. Rates depend on the season and the length of your stay, and we would rather talk than publish a table.

Tell us roughly when you would like to come and how many of you there are. We will come back with availability, a price, and anything else you want to know.

The rate covers the house, the pool, the garden, linen and the weekly clean. Food is separate, though we are glad to arrange it — ask us when you book.

Reading by the pool on a quiet afternoon

"In time, we hope GPort becomes a community. A quiet list of people who understand what this place is for."

The GPort Family

GPort is for people
who want to breathe.

Not everyone. We are honest about that.

GPort is for people who respect their own time — and therefore the time of others. Who are ready to put the phone down and not feel anxious about it. Who can find joy in a walk, in a glass of wine, in a conversation that goes nowhere useful.

People who want to live like a local island person for a week. Who want inspiration to simplify, rest for their soul, and clarity on what actually matters.

The house holds six. It works best as a retreat for two couples, or a family of four to six — the pool is fenced and gated, so children can be children. And in time, we plan to open GPort only by recommendation — to keep the community safe, verified, and genuinely like-minded.

Everything you need.
Nothing you don't.

16 m Private Pool

Sixteen metres, yours alone, fenced and gated. Long enough for morning laps, safe enough to stop watching for a while.

Sea Access

Five to seven minutes on foot. Clean Adriatic water, quiet coves, and the rhythm of the tides — no car, no shuttle, no negotiation.

Private Garden

Shaded terrace among olive trees and rosemary. A place to sit, read, and listen to nothing.

Sun Terrace

Open to the sky and sea air. Morning coffee, evening wine, afternoon light.

Boat Excursions

We arrange local boat trips to nearby islands, hidden bays, and the fish market at Kali.

Provisions, Arranged

Fish, vegetables, olive oil, cheese, bread and wine from the island, ordered in for you before you arrive. Not included — arranged on request.

Bicycles

Explore Pašman at your own pace along village paths and quiet coastal roads.

Gramophone

For people who want to stop and listen. Not with constant switching — but with full attention to the music.

Ždrelac,

  • By Air Zadar Airport (ZAD) is the nearest airport, approximately 35 km away. Car hire is available at the airport.

The practical things,
before you ask.

Everything a guest usually has to email about. If your question isn't here, ask us — we would rather answer twice than have you guess.
